We got Emily home about 5:30 Wednesday and
ran in out of the rain. She came in and explored awhile and found herself in the mirror. She really got around the house well, though the walking on the carpet was different for her from the wood floors at her house.
It didn't take Emily long to find the "toy" drawer in the table between Grampa's and Nana Jo's chair where Jackson had his remote control, coasters, and other assorted treasures. She put her baby colors book in it and was happy that she could open it and close it herself.
The next day we went out to Conley's nursery for some more flowers for the front deck. Conley's has a big waterfall out front, and Emily saw the water before she got out of the car. Grampa took her over to the waterfall, but the splashing of the water was not what she expected. She kept saying, "Oh no!" whenever she was splashed.
All the flowers and all the colors kept her looking and reaching to touch. She kept saying, "Oh wow!" much to the delight of the other gardeners.
She was very careful with the flowers and seemed excited that we bought several pots to take home to plant on the deck with the other flowers and tomatoes.

Emily sat with Nana Jo on the deck while Grampa planted the new flowers. It was all a bit overwhelming, especially when Grampa turned on the water hose and washed the dirt off the deck.

She liked the bear on the deck and learned that bears say "Grrr" even though she said it was "nice" and kissed it.
Emily's Mama and Daddy came over the weekend to pick her up, so Emily showed her Mama that she can feed herself with a spoon. Nana Jo didn't teach her that; she just decided she was big enough to eat yogurt by herself. Some of it actually made it into her mouth!
