We were watching TV last night and cooking supper when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I looked out in the back yard and there he was eating what little green grass was trying to come
up. I grabed the camera and went out the front door and around to the side of the house. When I looked around the corner he was standing there looking right at me. I pulled back away from the corner and used the camera, holding it around the corner and hit the button. After the flash I expected him to run off, but he stepped over and kept looking so I got another shot. As you can see he is very thin, it has been a really rough winter for the animals with little moisture.
We are stretching for the end of today which brings the beginning of spring break to Capitan. We'll get over to see Emily and her Mom & Dad on Monday, then we will go to Dallas to see Jackson and his Mom & Dad for His Second Birthday on the 18th.
We will probably come home from Lubbock and move our furniture from the "Winter Mode" (camped next to the fireplace) and put everything in the "Summer Mode" so we can watch the birds and the trees out in front of the house. As you can see from the pictures it is still very brown around here. We are praying for rain and waiting for the warm weather to get here.
