She's a Keeper!

We woke up to snow this morning with huge flakes falling gently for about 2 hours. Ed's mom is here visiting and loves to watch the sunrises and the deer eating in the yard. Today she decided she also liked watching the big snowflakes, and the deer even showed up as well! Because this is the weekend of the Smokey Bear Basketball tournament at school, Ed went to keep the score books in one gym, and I helped the Junior Class run the concession stand in the other gym, so we had to get out in the snow and left Mamaw at home. When we got back, there she was trying her hand with the snow shovel and had the deck almost cleared! We might just have to keep her and not take her back home to Midland next week.

Update

The "Walking Off the Pounds" exercise class my friend Linda and I started is taking off! Today after school there were 10 of us all just awalkin' off those pounds! It is really fun and a good way to work off the stress of a school day. I'll keep you posted on the "does it work?" aspect.... Here's a picture of part of the class. Here's an update as well on our Aerogarden herb-growing adventure. We have raised the grow light twice, and the plants just keep growing like crazy. Even our regular pots of thyme and basil are benefitting from being so close to the grow light.
