Scrapbooking Day

Seems like I haven't scrapbooked in awhile, so this weekend I decided to bite the bullet and just get into it even though the mess drives me crazy. At least I can just work on it and then put everything away again. I've kept up ok with Jackson's and Emily's scrapbooks, but ours hadn't been added to since our vacation on Hilton Head in 2005! Just didn't seem as important as those babies. To all you bloggers, keep posting pictures because I like to capture them and use them in my scrapbooks since I can't be there with y'all.
This is the organized chaos of my scrapbooking chair and table.

These are all the scrapbooks I've already filled (Jackson's is the blue one and Emily's is the pink one, of course).

Family

Jo's mother, Sylvia Garrett, passed away on Dec. 26, 2007, so all the family gathered in Lubbock to say goodbye to her. Unfortunately, we don't see all our family except at these sad times. Even though it was good to see both the Hawkins and Garrett family members, we did not catch everyone on camera. Here are a few pictures (notice that our grandkids managed to be in lots of the pictures)!

Christmas with the Kids and Grandkids

We spent the week before Christmas in Lubbock with Jo's mom in the hospital but went to Midland to pick up Ed's mom for Christmas in Capitan. Stephanie, Ken & Emily arrived on Friday, Dec. 20th. Ed's Aunt Ruby and Uncle Jim came on Christmas Eve, and Meaghan, Michael & Jackson flew into Roswell early Christmas afternoon, so we had a nice housefull of family for the holidays.

Jackson & Emily had a fun time getting to know each other a little better, complete with taking a bath together in Nana Jo's "big" tub.
Jackson & Emily had fun opening presents, of course, but the most fun came when Jackson got to play in the snow the day after Christmas. He fell occasionally and said, "I wet", but mostly, he had a good time.
